On 10 May 2012, Szymon Okoń appeared at the workshop organised by MMC Polska in the Hyatt Hotel in Warsaw. His lecture concerned transaction repositories.

On 24-25 April, 2012, Jacek Klimczak and Szymon Okoń appeared at the workshop organised by Informedia Polska in the Hyatt Hotel in Warsaw. Mr. Klimczak delivered one lecture on the challenges faced by banks and securities brokers in the light of the MiFID II Directive, and another on compliance obligations of securities brokers resulting from the MiFID Directive. Szymon Okoń had a presentation on organised trading platforms.

On 24-25 April, 2012, Wojciech Trzciński and Michał Prętnicki appeared at the workshop organised by Informedia Polska in the Polonia Palace Hotel in Warsaw. Mr. Trzciński delivered a lecture on negotiation and renegotiation of supplier contracts, while Mr. Prętnicki addressed issues relating to public procurement law: where it should be applied, how a public procurement procedure should be prepared etc.

In its 10^th Law Firms Ranking published on 17 April 2012, the Rzeczpospolita daily distinguished SSW in the area of major transactions. SSW was named as advisor at the construction of Korona Kielce shopping mall (organisation of investment projects), tender for construction of the Szarlej biogas power plant (public procurement), capital restructuring of Stary Browar in Poznań (restructuring and bankruptcy).  

On 28-29 March 2012, Mr. Dominik Strzałkowski took part in a conference organised by Informedia Polska in the Le Meridien Bristol hotel in Warsaw. His speech was devoted to the terms of awarding natural gas marketing licenses.

On 28-29 March 2012, Mr. Marcin Cetnarowicz and Mr. Dominik Strzałkowski took part in a conference organised by Informedia Polska in the Le Meridien Bristol hotel in Warsaw. Mr. Cetnarowicz delivered a lecture on obligations imposed on energy suppliers by the draft act on protection of sensitive recipients. Mr. Strzałkowski took part in a panel discussion relating to the mandatory conclusion of connection agreements with producers of energy from renewable sources.

On 27-28 March 2012, SSW lawyers appeared at the conference organised by the Accountancy Development Foundation at the Rialto Hotel in Warsaw. The SSW law firm acted as contents partner of the event, preparing its agenda, conducting the event and delivering a part of the lectures. Jacek Klimczak spoke about compliance obligations in the context of the MiFID directive. Marcin Cetnarowicz and Szymon Okoń delivered a presentation on a new regulation relating to remuneration policies of securities brokerage firms. In addition, Mr. Okoń presented the topic of reporting requirements associated with the fulfilment of capital adequacy requirements by securities brokers and banks in Poland.

On March 22-23 2012, Jakub Ziółek and Beata Kaftańska participated in the workshop organised by MM Conferences in Hyatt Hotel in Warsaw. Mr. Ziółek’s speech referred to manners of limiting risk of developer investment when the Law comes into force. Ms. Kaftańska gave a speech on legal remedies of purchasers of apartments and houses assured by a developer.
